Technical Due Diligence
There’s more to technology than the technology.
AIK Advisory provides an independent assessment of technology, data, security and operational capability.
What is Technical Due Diligence?
Our Technical Due Diligence assessment covers five key areas to understand whether they are fit for a business’s current and future needs.
IT service & resilience
How effectively IT services support the business, including quality, reliability, resilience, supplier performance, incident management and business continuity.
Information, data & AI governance
How effectively client and business information, data and IP are owned, managed, accessed, protected and used across the business.
Risk, compliance & assurance
How effectively technology and information risks are identified, assessed and managed, including cybersecurity, data protection, policy development and adherence, and client, contractual and regulatory obligations.
Delivery effectiveness & continuous improvement
How effectively technology, data and AI initiatives and change programmes are planned and delivered, including progress, supplier capability, dependencies and resources.
People, adoption & value
How well people understand and adopt technology, policies and ways of working - and whether they deliver the intended value.
Why might you need Technical Due Diligence?
Technical Due Diligence gives boards, investors, buyers and sellers an independent view of whether a business’s technology and associated capabilities are fit for its current and future needs. It highlights performance, strengths, material issues and recommended action, whether the business is scaling or involved in a transaction.
What happens next?
Often, businesses engage AIK Advisory to turn the recommendations into and action plan and Target Operating Model, and support delivery. This can be through a Fractional CTO engagement or as a specific project.
